The International Health (IH), Faculty of Medicine Universitas Gadjah Mada offered by the Public Health Postgraduate Program, Faculty of Medicine
Universitas Gadjah Mada, is a two years graduate degree program. The graduate degree obtained upon the successful completion of the courses and thesis writing is Master of Public Health (MPH).

Mission
The missions of the Public Health Postgraduate Program are to create competent graduate at the master level who have leadership capability in public health, to develop new concepts and theories through research for public health development, and to implement public health principles in advocacy and health policy at the national and global settings. The IH is dedicated to develop skilled professionals who are committed to improve the community health by translating rigorous scientific research into sound, evidence based public health policy and practice.

Educational objectives and graduate competencies

The IH is dedicated to develop skilled professionals who are committed to improve the community health by translating rigorous scientific research into sound, evidence based public health policy and practice. Students participated in the IH are expected to develop the following eight competencies:

1. Analysis and assessment in public health
2. Policy development and program planning in public health
3. Communication skills in public health
4. Cultural competency in public health
5. Community dimensions of practice in public health
6. Application of public health sciences
7. Financial planning and management in public health
8. Leadership and system thinking skills.

Degree
The graduate degree obtained upon the successful completion of the courses and thesis writing is Master of Public Health (MPH)
